Healthy Eating
Research shows that improved nutrition in schools leads to increased focus and attention, improved test scores, and better classroom behaviour.
It also shows that students who participate in the school feeding programme consume more whole grains, milk, fruits, and vegetable during meal times and have an overall diet quality than non-participants.
That is why at The Shepherd School, school meals are compulsory.
The meals are properly cooked, fruits and vegetables remain fresh and are washed with clean water. Our chefs are well trained and extremely hygienic.
The food menu is revised monthly and covers both national and continental delicacies.
At TSS, we have a holistic approach when it comes to inculcating good eating manners in students. They are closely supervised during meal times to encourage table etiquette because we believe good habits reflect good upbringing in children.
